With Concordance and Opticon you can fully search all documents related to a case in seconds. Concordance is a text search and retrieval program designed support full text applications on your computer. It provides direct and immediate access to information by allowing you to search for any word, phrase, or combination of words and phrases, contained within its database. Concordance is designed for researchers, marketing personnel, lawyers, business people and others who rely on what they know to get their jobs done. Opticon allows the full viewing of the document on screen and is fully with to the Concordance search engine.
Concordance
Its powerful search engine allows attorneys to rertieve records with an easy-to-use English-like query. The program, designed to accommodate text in any format, searches up to sixteen databases simultaneously, each of which can hold over 2 million records or documents. Individual records can hold up to 2,000 pages of text. In addition to everyday database applications, Concordance can provide unusual database solutions for law firms. Concordance's report writer is designed to accommodate both beginners and advanced users. The report writer enables attorneys to quickly generate the most common reports, and the technical staff can create complex reports with calculations, stacked and exploded fields and other advance features. It has been designed to operate on individual workstations or in today's network environments.
Opticon
Opticon displays images that correspond to records retrieved through Concordance. Most can be enlarged, enhanced, redacted, and printed as needed. Opticon retrieves handwritten notes, diagrams, photographs, and other documentary evidence that has been scanned.
Scanning and Imaging
For large cases, OCR scanning, text conversion, coding and image referencing is available through a series of Scanning and Imaging vendors.From one file box to millions of documents, each case can be imaged, scanned and dropped directly into Concordance and Opticon fomat.

Once the core documents in a case have been established, documents, transcripts, witness statements or discoveries can be imported into LiveNote in electronic format with the click of a button. As the text of the document is reviewed, each relevant statement, paragraph or Q & A subset can be flagged with an issue tag. These tags reflect the important issues related to winning the case and can be colour coded. Each issue tag can be further complemented with a note, annotation or even the attachment of a file or image.
Create Reports
Once documents have been reviewed, a report can be generated pulling together passages of relevant text that relates to each issue, cross referenced to document, page and line reference numbers for additional impact.
Full Text Searching
All text, notes and annotations are indexed into a master dictionary for easy searching. You simply type in a name, word, phrase, date, or issue and LiveNoteFT will search all documents in seconds and generate a report of exact locations of each word indicating document, page and line numbers.
Realtime Linking
LiveNoteRT and FT provide access to testimony on your own laptop computer as it is created, via a connection with the court reporter's stenography machine. The software lets you categorize salient passages of testimony as soon as the testimony is given. At any time during the course of a discovery or testimony, you can back up to an earlier line of questioning to see if indeed a question was asked and answered, or how it was asked and answered. When a question is observed to hit a sensitive nerve or to send the witness into the "fingers-over-the-lips" mode, the examiner (or defending attorney) can easily mark that point in the testimony without loss of focus from the proceedings by hitting the space bar on the keyboard.
Digital Video synchronization
When video testimony has been produced, LiveNote's VideoNote program can handles full synchronization of text to video. Once synchronized, the video will play on-screen when a passage of text is hilighted.
